The Bookseller Retail Awards 2008Hello and welcome to the 2008 Bookseller Retail Awards

Now in their fourth year, the Bookseller awards are the only ones to specifically celebrate the fine art of selling books, and, as in previous years, they are judged by a panel with skills both from the book trade and the wider world of business beyond.

Winning awards has never been more important for any business, conferring as they do independent third-party approval and providing a vital shot in the arm for everyone associated with the business. These awards are open to the whole trade, from independent bookshops to supermarkets, from store managers to chief executives.

We've made some tweaks to the awards for 2008. Most substantially, a new category for green retailing has been brought in, reflecting the increasing importance of environmental considerations to businesses and consumers alike.

Awards night is set for 18th September, again at the Natural History Museum. Along with a champagne reception and fantastic three-course meal, this year we will have a late bar and music at the museum until 3 a.m., giving plenty of time for winners to celebrate and losers to commiserate.

So don't miss out.  Book your table for the evening by downloading the booking form below and returning it to Sally Greetham at The Bookseller, 5th Floor Endeavour House, 189 Shaftesbury Avenue, London WC2H 8TJ or fax back to 020 7420 6103. For more information and details on booking individual seats email sally.greetham@bookseller.co.uk
or call 0207 420 6028.
